As in FTB Direwolf20 1.21 - neoforge not loading if had problems using this FTB Package
OS: Debian 12
AMP: 2.6.2 (yes, I know of the errors in this)
Problem Description:
FTB Direwolf20 1.21 - neoforge not loading / starting
As in the old post (which is closed, therefor answering there is impossible), AMP downloads this package from FTB (New Source), but is unable to start.
Trying to start loads the package again witha “default”/wrong server version.
This is the way to “solve” it (workaround):
- Create a new (empty) Minecraft Instance with default action “Do Nothing!” (no start or update on instance start!)
- Select Minecraft Server Type: “Feed The Beast (New Source)”
- FTB Modpack: “FTP Presents Direwolf20 1.21 (v1.4.0)”
- Select now the Instance - Status page and DON’T START!
- Press Update and wait until the installer has finished
- again DON’T START!
- go back to the Configuration - Minecraft and change the ServerType now to “NeoForge”
- set “Release Stream” to “Specific Version” and use as “NeoForge Version” 21.1.172 (The same version that is in the path ./libraries/net/neoforged/neoforge/ )
- now go again to the Status page and now (for the first time) press Start.
- this first run will fail, but download the required neoforge version to the Minecraft “root” path
- after this download is finished, the next start will be successful
I did not test any updates yet (as there aren’t any until yesterday to test with).
Hope this will help, and if there is an other/official way for such FTB packages I would like to know.
