UseShellExecute property preventing server from launching

OS Name/Version: Windows 11 Home 23H2

Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Callisto”
v2.5.1.8, built 17/09/2024 12:32

Problem Description: Unable to start amp due to error code.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1
  • Tried to start AMP
  • Step 2
  • It fails to start due to this error message:
    ///InvalidOperationException
    [0] (InvalidOperationException) : The Process object must have the UseShellExecute property set to false in order to use environment variables.///
  • Step 3
    Tried to troubleshoot, unable to find where or why this property changed.

Actions taken to resolve so far: Reinstalled AMP and restarted service, checked default configs to make sure they were default as far as I know where to look and restarted the machine multiple times through all of these steps. I also checked to see if there had been changes made to the AMPservice.exe and saw no previous versions or weird permission changes.

Uninstalling is never a recommended troubleshooting step, but since you’ve already done it, do it again and follow this to make sure you didn’t miss anything.
(When uninstalling AMP you must make sure that you remove the service as well)
