Problem Description

Issue

Java also seems to be a couple of builds behind, and I wasn’t able to update it with either the AMP default button nor with sudo apt update. It’s preventing the server from starting–how can I update these?

Reproduction Steps

  • Updated via “Instances” page
  • Restarted the server
  • Updated the server

You’ll want to run through this first to make sure AMP is all up to date:
https://discourse.cubecoders.com/t/how-to-update-amp-to-the-latest-version/2297
ampinstmgr version in the Linux command line should print out v2.6.0.6

For Java, after installing a new package, you need to stop/start a MC instance. (Java runtimes aren’t handled by AMP when you’re not using Docker)
AMP has a shortcut script if you run getamp installJava as root; it’ll install all the LTS runtime versions

Thank you! This helped me figure out the problem!
