Problem Description
Issue
updating from v2.6.0.2 to v2.6.0.6, the main process fails to upgrade and either crashes out or stalls indefinitely, and the service must be restarted from the host server to bring amp back up.
when attempting to upgrade subinstances, the console shows a series of unauthorized access errors, implying file permissions have been altered or corrupted somehow.
after changing the installation location’s permissions manually, the process fails to even start. when upgrading the main instance, all AMP processes end immediately on starting the update and no amount of waiting will result in anything. when upgrading sub instances, the deployment log shows “upgrading instance ” and then nothing forever. no CPU nor memory usage changes from host server’s perspective.
Reproduction Steps
- open amp web interface
- open support/updates tab
- click “upgrade this instance”
