Problem Description

Issue

Saw that there was an update via the Support and Updates link in the left panel of AMP. Clicked the link, clicked upgrade this amp, it says that it’s upgrading, less than 30 seconds pass and it comes back to the AMP screen with nothing upgraded. Still running 2.6.4 Nov 14 build.

Reproduction Steps

    1. Log into amp
  • Look on left panel and notice there’s an Update available
  • Click on the link in the left panel
  • Click on the button under Updates that says Upgrade this amp
  • watch the spinner
  • notice nothing actually upgraded. Same version as before
  • clear cache, etc. same instance as before.

I have exactly the same problem as Rick on Windows. The upgrade is not being implemented.

Furthermore, I can no longer start my Minecraft instance. I get the following error message.

This instance is running a newer version of AMP than this ADS instance. This instance is version 2.6.4.2 but this ADS instance is version 2.6.3.0. Please update this ADS instance.

I hope there will be a solution to this problem soon.

The solution as always is to follow the update guide: How to update AMP to the latest version

You can make your life easier on Windows by just running the script in section 5

Interesting. I’ve followed the instructions and completed the upgrade, but now I am unable to modify scheduled events. When you click on “if condition is met” and then choose any of the buttons below, you get the following error:

Data Binding Failure

Client-side databinding failed. If you’ve just upgraded AMP then you should first try clearing your browser cache.

Advanced Details

TypeError: Name is not a function

I have done as it says and it didn’t fix anything.

Manually clear your browser cache, all images and files for all time

Also do you use a proxy like Cloudflare?

I have the same Data binding Error with the 2.6.4.2 version. Already tried clearing all the history and even tried on multiple computers with multiple browsers and still the same error. I don’t use a proxy either.

Also tried creating a new instance and restarted the server and still happens.

I get this error on the browser console:

Uncaught TypeError: (intermediate value).Name is not a function
click http://(server_ip)/Scripts/knockout-3.5.1.js line 74 > Function:3
init http://(server_ip)/Scripts/knockout-3.5.1.js:100
a http://(server_ip)/Scripts/knockout-3.5.1.js:16
jQuery 2
knockout-3.5.1.js line 74 > Function:3:121

Source map error: request failed with status 404
Resource URL: http://(server_ip)/instances/d3c2a3d7/<anonymous%20code>
Source Map URL: installHook.js.map

Yeah, pretty sure it is a bug, have reported it to the devs

Yeah, I don’t use a proxy server and I did all of that… it’s still there. I’ve also noticed another thing: Ark SA game servers do start and run ok, but there’s log spam for GameAnalytics - which I have turned off. I’m not sure where the issue is.. a lot of it is just info messages summarized as “no events to send”..

I also noticed, while doing disk cleanup, that Amp is listed 3 times under installed programs. One version prior to this one and then 2 for the .2.

Hi, is there any update on this?

Because the bug still seems to be present.

This is very annoying.

A fix is in the next update

In the meantime you can enter variables manually, like {@User}
