Unable to start minecraft server due to message

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu/24.04.5 LTS

Product Name/Version: AMP 2.8.0.8 - 20260927.1

Problem Description: Everytime I try to create a server that is Neoforge, I get this message.

Error: could not open `libraries/net/neoforged/neoforge/26.1.2.109/unix_args.txt'

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1 Started a instance for Java Minecraft and set it up for Neoforge Version 26.1.2.109
  • Step 2 Added Better Minecraft 6 to AMP
  • Step 3 Press start

Actions taken to resolve so far:

Changing Java version

Trying out other mods

Deleting the instance and recreating it

Don’t think its possible been trying all day to get forge and bmc4 working until Ai said the files are actively blocked as soon as you use the mod folder it wont run delete the mod folder off you go vanilla server you can get very light and basic Minecraft servers going but forge wont work, unless someone can say they have got it going but I don’t think so

I don’t have java 25 as an option and I tried following the link you sent but that didn’t work either. It says that getamp installJava doesn’t exist as a command.

Did you run the command as the root user? Can you copy paste the text from you running the command and its output here please?

Apologies, apparently the devs have disabled the scripts temporarily in the most recent versions of AMP. You can still install Java 25 yourself; follow the instructions on Latest Releases | Adoptium

I downloaded Java 25 but when I start the server, the log still gives me the same message.

Did you download and install it?
