Unable to install SteamCMD

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 24 - ARM64

Product Name/Version: Professional - v2.6.4.2, built 10/12/2025 02:30

Problem Description: I Cant get, i think box86, to install steamCMD on a 7 days to die install. It just sits here.

SteamCMD 16:18:13
Box86 with Dynarec v0.3.9 50a2603 built on Dec 27 2025 14:43:33
Redirecting stderr to '/home/amp/Steam/logs/stderr.txt'
Looks like steam didn't shutdown cleanly, scheduling immediate update check
ILocalize::AddFile() failed to load file "public/steambootstrapper_english.txt".
[ 0%] Checking for available update...

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1 Set up 7 Days server, (its even on a brand new install)
  • Step 2 Run server
  • Step 3 Check logs

Actions taken to resolve so far:

I have attempted to see if its getting blocked by my firewall, but i think its just arm and box86 being cranky. I don’t have much experience with linux so im not really to much help here.

See the important note in the box specifically

Oh i misread who needed to install that, that makes sense and has fixed the issue.
