Problem Description

Issue

I created a custom modded server, using the curse forge app. I have no trouble using it on it’s own without hostinger (I am aware this isn’t hostinger support), and have been told by others who want to play on the server that the modpack works.

Earlier I was having issues getting the server to connect to a new instance, as I already had one, and wanted to make another. But later learned this was an issue with AMP and would be fixed in a later update.

As that update has happened I decided to restart and try again. I deleted my first attempt and tried to follow the directions given in this post. However I ran into some issues as my moddpack is custom/not published, and I am using the app. I tried manually creating a zip file (not through forge app as that doesn’t work, I did try though). I tried doing this in many different ways, but no matter what I did the starting server notification would get stuck at being “full” yet nothing happening.

I wasted a lot of hours doing that method and decided to do what I did on the other modded server I have and follow the directions given in this video. Deleted the instance I was working on and started a new one. I created a mods folder and uploaded the .jar files directly into it. This seemed to work slightly better, as the starting server notification would fully load then “restart,” however now the loading bar gets stuck at 1/16th full (between the i and the n in “starting”).

This is a log I get from the console when I start up the server and it stalls/doesn’t fully load.

What is the issue and how do I fix it?

Reproduction Steps

  • Deleted instance and followed “Setting Up Modded Java Minecraft Server”
  • Didn’t use server zip files and uploaded mods directly into mod folder in file manager
  • First used default JDK then changed it to Java 17 as I am using 1.20.1
  • I restart/update server every time I make a change
