Problem Description

Issue

I was getting an internal exception error whenever I tried to join the Minecraft server. I was wanting to use my own mods and world that I originally had, and I followed instructions on Google that said to compress them, add the zip files to the server files, and then extract them after into the server files. After I did that I was getting an internal exception error but I couldn’t figure out what was causing the error. When I tried restarting the server it’s now giving me another error and not starting.

Reproduction Steps

  • put my mods zip folder into the server files and extracted them into a mod folder
  • deleted the original world folder and added my own world folder
  • got internal exception error when trying to join server so I restarted it

Check that you have the right Server Type and server settings selected, and that you have the world renamed to world or you’ve changed the Level Name setting to match the world folder’s name.
