Keep the server up and running
Problem Description
Issue
The server regularly stops running about every 2 hours with an error that says “A fault is preventing the application from starting. Manage the instance to examine the logs.” When I look at the logs i dont see an error message. How can I ensure the server stays up and running
Reproduction Steps
- I logon and go to my instances
- I get error message so i hit start and it runs fine for a while
- then a few hours later i get the same error message “A fault is preventing the application from starting. Manage the instance to examine the logs.”
@CubeCoders-Bot Could you check into this? Palworld is infamous for its memory leaks so look for an OOM situation.
Alright, let’s dig into the logs to see if we can spot any out-of-memory (OOM) errors that might be causing the server to shut down. Since you said the logs don’t show an error message, it’s possible the issue is more subtle.
- View Logs in the AMP Web Interface:
- Go to your AMP instances.
- Right-click on your Palworld instance.
- Select “View Logs.”
Check specifically for any “OutOfMemory” or related messages that indicate the server is running into memory limits. If you find something, paste the log entries here as text.
If nothing stands out, we can also look at the instance configuration to see if any memory settings might need adjusting.
