What you are saying is correct - I was indeed not able to fit another 60GB on that root volume. The outcomes of which we can conclude:
- The requirements for running this server could do with being clearer to the admin. Nowhere did it say it needed 60GB. Please take this as constructive feedback on a way to improve the product.
- The error is correct in what it is saying, but a little more info would be good. In line with number 1.
On a personable level, while what you were saying is 100% correct (I was indeed running out of space on the root volume). The way you went about it, and the attitude you gave, leaves a lot to be desired. It was not helpful at all. I understand all too well that you would likely deal with many ‘fools’ like me during every given day. That’s no reason to pass on your frustrations. Do better.
The actual answer, for anyone else coming across this error is below. I leave this here to be helpful to others, instead of giving them a brick wall answer this mod gave me.
Solution:
If you are receiving this error, you are running out of disk space. One possible fix for this issue is to move the default AMP instance data store to another volume, and symlink to the new location. Here is the link that I found myself to help me resolve my issue:
Another fix option would be to create another data store. In my case, I never intended it to be on my root drive, so moving it seems logical for my needs.
