loading an old server from a backup.

hello, im trying to load an old server from a backup, but some places arent loaded from the save file. if i the the same folder and put it in a single player world everything loads perfectly.

Reproduction Steps

• i choose the correct version of mc (paper 1.20.4)
• i upload the files in the correct place.
• i spawn in but theres missing buildings, so it renders it as if nothing was built there from the seed.

Seems like some games have more than just what is in the backup area. See this:

1. Do your source and target versions of Minecraft match? Rather, was the world you are trying to re-upload also created/maintained in 1.20.4?
2. Same question as above but was the old world also on Paper?
3. Can you send a screenshot of your File Manager root and the top few settings under Configuration > Minecraft > Server and Startup ?

yes, it started in 1.20.4 on paper.

What is your Level Name setting set to? And screenshot of your file manager root please.

Just asking because it seems obvious that paper is not recognizing your world folder/backup perhaps due to incorrect structure.

If you don’t mind and if the size of the backup permits, can you share the backup world? I can try to get it running on a test server. Not sure how else I can assist without getting hands-on.

yes, but some things arent loading properly. its like theyre being loaded from the seed. heres the same save file but on single player vs uploading it, some of the farms are missing. whats weird is that all the animals and entities spawn there after the chunks load

Your save loads fine on my server. I would just double/triple check that the world folder is structured appropriately and maybe take another backup of the single player world just to start fresh.
