Instance problems after updating

OS Name/Version: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)

Product Name/Version: (Always use the full version number - not ‘Latest’)

Problem Description:
Minecraft Bedrock server doesn’t error out but it fails to display statistics users/cpu/mem , and Satisfactory won’t start at all.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1
    Updated Amp controller, amp01 and amp02 instance servers.
  • Step 2
    Updated all game instances on AMP01 and AMP02
  • Step 3
    AMP01 instances seem to work normally. AMP02 instances are failing.

Actions taken to resolve so far:
tried start / stop and update again repeatedly, no change.

As far as I can see, AMP is fine, but the game server itself won’t start. Looks to be segfaulting when starting it’s HTTP server, so maybe double check that the server’s ports aren’t already in use by something else.

Also double check that you’ve followed section 4 in the update guide to ensure that your templates are up to date.

I checked my working satisfactory on AMP01 and its not showing ports in docker either, which is strange so I guess thats not it.

There are no other instances on AMP02 that could be using the ports.

Also I spun up a new satisfactory and it works.. I am just disappointed that updating the servers and the instances caused it to break so easily and its not correctable without moving the save files

Docker doesn’t show the ports since the container is using host-networking.
To clarify, you followed the entire update guide and pressed the update button for the instance in the panel as well? (part 4 of the update guide)

What ports are shown in AMP for the two servers? From the Status page in each instance

port for the other server, on a different IP was 7778, and the one on the non working secondary server was 7777 (since they share an external IP, unrelated) … I fixed this by copying out the save file from the game and removing it, then recreating a new instance and loading the save file in… This is not an optimal way to recover it though, and it should be able to fix corruption with a redeploy and keep server settings / map saves…
