FTB Evolution Server, showing the wrong version, even after update

Problem Description:

When I’m trying to create a new instance for minecraft FTB Evolution, even on New Source, and on FTB Evolution (v1.22.0). When i start the server it says;

Starting minecraft server version 1.21.8
Loading properties
Default game type: SURVIVAL
Generating keypair
Starting Minecraft server on [removed for privacy]
Using epoll channel type
Preparing level “world” Preparing start region for dimension minecraft:overworld

So, my issue is that i am unable to play on the FTB Launcher as it is the wrong version. The launcher doesnt supply version 1.21.8 either, so unable to take that route, i have tried updating again, but still no luck there.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1 - Create instance
  • Step 2 - Try and run a FTB Evolution (v1.22.0)
  • Step 3 - Run the server and connect using the latest version of Evolution

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • Removed old instance and created a new one.
  • set up the latest versions of FTB and Evolution (v1.22.0)
  • Upgraded the memory to 6GB
  • Tried to downgrade my launcher version to 1.21.4 (they dont have 1.21.8 available)
  • tried pulling the server file off of the website and popping it into the file manager.
  • System is linux, so i donwloaded the correct file, but i dont think its pulling it.

Anyways, I’m not sure whether the files in AMP are not updated to the latest version, or there is a mismatch in the config just displaying the incorrect file name.

Followed everything, and still not able, its saying incompatible client, even though everything is correct.

I’m having this same issue. The server defaults to installing 1.21.8 but the only available FTB Evolution client is 1.21.1

If you follow the guide fully, including deleting the world folder, it is fine:

(That’s a brand new Evolution server)

I followed the guide fully, and am getting 1.21.8.

Not sure what aprt its messing up.
