Problem Description: I believe I have properly uploaded my modpack from curseforge to my file manager. Initially I was not unzipping the file inside the mod folder, but it was still behaving like many of the mods were downloaded. Only ~40 of the 300 mods said they weren’t installed, and that remained the case after unzipping. When attempting to join server, I’m met with a message that I have more mods than the server does. I have made sure to download the modpack using the “download server pack” button (which has strangely disappeared now. Anyways, I have tinkered and researched this for many hours and can’t seem to find a solution.)

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1: Install BMC4 (The modpack) on curseforge
  • Step 2: Edit modpack by adding and removing some mods
  • Step 3: download server pack and install into mod folder within file manager
  • Step 4: Unzip file
  • Step 5: Restart and update server
  • Step 6: Run Minecraft using modpack on curseforge
  • Step 7: Be greeted with message that I have more mods than the server does

Actions taken to resolve so far: I began by checking file manager for said mods; they were there, not absent. So I knew I had the mods installed and they were all the correct version. I attempted to remove some of the mods from my client, but they were integral mods and it threw off the whole pack. Removing one mod caused issues with 8 others, so it wasn’t feasible to narrow down the pack, because it would lose half of what it was before done. I have tried deleting and reinstalling everything, being extra careful, but received the same outcome.
