where do i see a steam workshop menu in the game panel?

I stumbled upon this thread when looking to set up VPPAdminTools on my DayZ server running with AMP. I got it working and since the official mod documentation can be a bit misleading, as it describes a way using custom server starting parameters, custom profiles folder, etc - none of which is needed here’s step by step on how to do it:

My setup is AMP on linux. Vanilla stable DayZ instance running.

  1. After logging into AMP on the instance list click “Manage” on the DayZ server instance.
  2. Click on "Configuration"in the left side panel
  3. On the bottom of it click “Updates” and click the “+” button to add mod IDs.
  4. Add “1559212036” (CF) and “1828439124” (VPPAdminTools) IDs to the list. Make sure that CF ID is above the VPPAdminTools one. You can move them around if they’re in the wrong order by using the buttons on top or edit button.
  5. Go back to your DayZ Instance and stop it.
  6. Click "Configuration"in the left panel, then “DayZ” in the left panel, then under “Server” tab enable “Manage Bikeys”.
  7. Under the same tab enter “1559212036;1828439124” in"Load Mods" box (no quotes).
  8. Go back to your instance view
  9. Click “Update” which will fetch the mods and install them. Note: Clicking update will rewrite the game config files (e.g. cfggameplay.json) so if you have made any custom changes in those files, back them up. If you didn’t edit anything manually then you’re good to go.
  10. Start the server, wait for it to completely start.
  11. Stop the server.
  12. Go to your DayZ instance and click “File Manager” in the navigation/left side panel.
  13. Click on “DayZServerData” then “VPPAdminTools” then “Permissions” folder.
  14. Edit "credentials.txt"as per instructions in the file and save it.
  15. Open “SuperAdmins” folder then edit “SuperAdmins.txt” file as per instructions in the file. Your SteamID is listed in your Account Details if you click on that in steam client, under the username you’ll see something like “Steam ID: 7656…” that’s the number you need.
  16. Make sure the files are saved,
  17. Start the server
  18. In the DayZ launcher on your computer you’ll get prompted to set up and install mods when joining the server. You can also go to steam workshop, subscribe to those, then start dayz launcher and in the mods tab load the CF and VPPAdminTools.
  19. After joining the server go into settings and adjust keybindings if needed.
  20. You’re all set, VPPAdminTools and CF should be set up and running.
