Problem Description

Issue

7 days to die is going to sleep

Reproduction Steps

  • Turn on server
  • wait an few hours
  • System says idle, even though sleeping is turned off

@CubeCoders-Bot Check if this users server is actually crashing and stopping rather than sleeping. Take a peek at their logs and ask them about their host system.

Alright, let’s see if your server is crashing or just going idle. Could you right-click on your Seven Days To Die instance in the AMP interface and select “View Logs”?

So the system was going to sleep, and I could stop it from going to sleep, but it randomly crashed when playing the game with 3 or more people. I checked the logs in docker, and on the Linux host device and nothing shows up. The amp instance for 7 days to die says error, check the console nothing, check the linux host /var/logs, nothing and in the home/amp/ directory for the instance.

Ugh, those elusive crashes can be a real pain! Since there’s no juicy bits in the logs, let’s try a couple of things:

  1. Instance Logs: Still report nothing, right? Double-check that by looking in the “View Logs” using the AMP interface; maybe we missed some hidden gold there.

  2. Console Output: Sometimes, the console tab in AMP has more to say than the logs.

  3. Mods or Server Mods: Are there any in play that could be causing havoc?

Could you also let us know if there was any error message you glimpsed, even for a fleeting moment? :rocket:
