Problem Description

Issue

We rebought the plan after a couple months but our server is nowhere to be found. We would like to get it back if possible or atleast get a file of it. Because there shouldnt be any trouble returning and paying after a couple months like we are having now.

Reproduction Steps

    1. Bought the plan
    1. Logged in to the console
    1. Seen that there is no server left

This isn’t Hostinger support, just the forum for AMP, you’ll want to contact Hostinger regarding any weird account behavior.

One thing it could be, is if the instance versions and CLI tool versions are mismatched.
https://discourse.cubecoders.com/t/how-to-update-amp-to-the-latest-version/2297
Then you’d need to restore the instances.json file a copy of one of the backup files in /home/amp/.ampdata (all as the amp Linux user, su -l amp to swtich)

I dont know how to use the program and I dont know where to find the instances.json

It would all be in the VPSs linux command line over SSH (refer to Hostinger’s guides on connecting to SSH)

Bro i didnt understand a single thing you just said

Yeah, you’ll need to do some google-learning

Is there a simple way I just want to get my server back after paying 17 dollars bro there has to be a way. I dont want to learn coding just for a server

Yeah, Hostinger’s VPS’s are “un-managed”, meaning they expect you to take full action when updating your stuff or fixing game-related issues.
Since this isn’t Hostinger support, I’ve done all I can in pointing you in the right direction.
You can ask their support regarding any questions you got getting access to the Linux command line, and see what they have to say.

You could try and see if the server’s files are available over SFTP on port 2223 using WinSCP or FileZilla, but that’s the easiest it’ll get
