Authentication System Failure (code 500), AuthServerURL is correct

Product Name/Version: AMP Instance Manager 2.6.3.0

Problem Description:

I’ve installed AMP and setup an ASKA instance, but when I try to manage my ASKA instance it says…
”Authentication System Failure (code 500)

Reason: AMP tried to login to auth server at http ://localhost:8080/ but it could not be reached. To adjust this by searching for “Auth Server URL” in the top right. This URL should reflect the address of your primary AMP installation.. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.”

Clarifying points/FYIs:

  • The AMP Instance Manager says ADS 2.6.3.0 is IP 0.0.0.0 port 8080 and is running (it’s checked). It also says ASKA is IP 127.0.0.1 port 8081 and is running (it’s checked)
  • When I go to http ://localhost:8080/ in my browser I see the CEF remote debugging Inspectable WebContents page that’s displaying unstyled HTML links like “Game Servers, Steam, ect.“
  • I can open the AMP GUI website by going to http ://x.x.x.x:8080 (obfuscating the IP) and see the ASKA instance running
  • When I right-click the ADS instance in AMP Instance Manager and click Manage a window titled “AMP Recovery Mode“ appears saying “AMP is not currently running” … try running ampinstmgr startallWhen I do this, it says ADS01 and ASKA01 are both already running.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start computer (AMP is set to auto-launch)
  2. Open the AMP Instance Manager
  3. Right click the ASKA instance > Click Manage > Enter credentials > Click login
  4. An error pops up saying “Authentication System Failure (code 500)“

Another Method:

  1. Goto the AMP GUI Website (http ://x.x.x.x:8080)
  2. Click the green Manage Instance button on the ASKA instance
  3. Enter credentials > click login
  4. Same 500 error appears.
