BC i was paying over $60/month for middle ground specs for my server, so i decided to setup my own & found yall during my research.
I wanted a AIO solution for gaming servers in my home setup. I also wanted an on-demand Game server solution for many of my favorite games. Rust, Space Engineers, and Minecraft just to name a few.
I happened to notice your comment and wanted to make sure you knew OIDC + Local accounts has been added this week!
I heard about AMP from a friend who was using it and we both had the same goals: Easy spin up and spin down of servers so we can play with friends and have the flexibility of allowing our friends to start/stop servers, do admin items, etc. on our own equipment. I am also REALLY looking forward to building a “cluster” of spare hardware I have laying around into different AMP nodes so I can turn on specific games on demand.
Plus the face that most games are point and click deployment and are centrally managed, which makes FW rules and port forwarding SUPER EASY.
