Why did you pick AMP?

In short

  • One Time payment for a lifetime license, especially with those fair prices

  • Very active development/support with a great and also active discord server

  • The insane amount of features and integrity of specific applications like minecraft

Thank you guys for all this I love AMP!

For new users I recommend updating your installation tutorials they’re very outdated

BC i was paying over $60/month for middle ground specs for my server, so i decided to setup my own & found yall during my research.

I wanted a AIO solution for gaming servers in my home setup. I also wanted an on-demand Game server solution for many of my favorite games. Rust, Space Engineers, and Minecraft just to name a few.

I happened to notice your comment and wanted to make sure you knew OIDC + Local accounts has been added this week!

I heard about AMP from a friend who was using it and we both had the same goals: Easy spin up and spin down of servers so we can play with friends and have the flexibility of allowing our friends to start/stop servers, do admin items, etc. on our own equipment. I am also REALLY looking forward to building a “cluster” of spare hardware I have laying around into different AMP nodes so I can turn on specific games on demand.

Plus the face that most games are point and click deployment and are centrally managed, which makes FW rules and port forwarding SUPER EASY.

I initially watched a video by hardware heaven that was sponsered by amp. at the time if i remember correctly that was his first sponse.i never once followed a youtuber sponsership but since he almost never takes sponserships i was curious to see what broke him, additionally i was really struggling with pderydctl and it seemed way to complex for my needs and i wanted a software that will grow with me, crafty controller was not enough, so i bought the 10$ plan and have enjoyed it since. Btw i saw in your most recent post that you guys consider ajusting prices, i think this is fair and reasonable, however i have some cool ideas that might also increase caahflow. Idea 1 have a subscription tier that costs 5$/m and it includes some sort of a tunneling service. Idea 2 right now for basic users there is almost no reason to pay more then 10$, what if the 20$ or 40$ had easier mod/modpack support for certain games, it will be a hassle for games with limited modding supprt, but games witg robust modding tools like Minecraft, satisfactory, factorio, arma, ect it should be simpler

What if I told you the Store tab inside the instances that support it… Is easier mod support? :x

Picked AMP due to how simple and consolidated of all games are compared to using multiple tools for various server hosting.

Great experience so far learning how to setup it all.
