Users have too much access even with all permissions denied

OS Name/Version: Debian 13

Product Name/Version: 2.6.2.6

Problem Description: We’re using enterprise licenses and when a new user with all rights set to denied still has to much access when they sign into the console. This is a concern if we are wanting to automate the user account setups without supervision for commercial access. If they sign into our console they still see options such as Pair New Target, have the ability to change network/port information, disable containers, Container CPU configuration, etc. per instance they have subscribed to.

Steps to reproduce: create a new template role for “customer” with all permissions set to deny and logged in with said user.

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • Step 1 Set all user permissions to Deny and then reset again
  • Step 2 created multiple user accounts with the same results
  • Step 3 Created new template roles with all permissions denied and assigned user with the same result

Have you checked if they can actually use what they see? There are some things that show up that if the user actually tried to save those changes would do nothing or fail.

Thanks for the reply Mike, you are correct that they do not have the ability to change the settings, but they are able to see a little too much information such as the Target server name and detailed information about said hardware. I also feel like there will be additional support request based off of their ability to see but not use said functions.

Is there any way to completely hide this information?
