OS Name/Version: Any - But Linux Mint 21.2
Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Deimos” - v2.7, built 05/03/2026 00:24
Problem Description:
Per the documentation you are supposed to be able to create a user within an instance. When logging in as that user to that instance url the following recieved:
`This user does not have permission to access this instance. Please ensure that this user has the 'Manage Instance' permission within ADS for this instance. `
As this is inside the instance, there is nowhere to grant that permission that I can find.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create Instance as Admin (doesn’t matter but let’s say minecraft)
- Click “Manage Instance” to enter the instance
- Click “Configuration” → “User Management” → “create user”
- Create user and assign password, Enter permissions to start and stop instance for that user under permission manager
- In a separate browser or computer go to the instance’s url
- Log in with newly created user
Actions taken to resolve so far:
The Workaround of creating the user at the AMP top level and then giving them permissions that way DOES work, but is not desired for one-off instances.
