Problem Description

Issue

This is maddening. Our server shut itself down and has begun deleting its own INI file every time it starts. please assist ASAP, I have 50 angry players.

Reproduction Steps

  • Start server
  • Server reverts to default setup
  • server ignores the values in the INI file
  • server deletes all contents of the INI file

So you updated the ini manually? AMP controls the ini through its UI and you should configure it from there, tho with the most recent template update 2 days ago the ini can be imported

There are many settings in the ini that cannot be controlled from the GUI, and we have a lot of settings from our old server that we wanted to port over.

Where is the control to import the ini? That would be fantastic if it works.

You will have to update your instance from the main instance screen and refresh config. Then manage the instance and right click on the ini to import. You will need to refresh the browser for the changes to show in the UI.

What settings do you say are missing? Almost all are there. You might have an old instance.

Your current issue is probably caused by file perms.
