*** URGENT *** ARK SA - Locking up my computer

OS Name/Version: Windows - Windows 11 Home on x86_64
Product Name/Version: AMPService ‘Phobos’ v2.6.0.12 (Mainline)

Problem Description: I’m trying to run ARK SA servers and it appears to be completely locking up my computer to the point where I have to do a hard shut down. This cannot be good for my computer. I thought maybe I was running out of memory, so I upgraded. No joy. I thought maybe the computer was overheating, it’s not. It’s not the CPU or GPU both are at nominal ranges.

I did order a proper server and most of the hardware arrives tomorrow, but if that doesn’t fix the issue, I’m going to have to dump AMP and go with something else.

Here’s my specs:

Make/Model: MSI GP66 Leopard laptop
CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i7-10870H CPU @ 2.20GHz
Memory: 64 GB DDR4
SSD: 1 TB (OS) / 4 TB (Game drive)

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1 - Start the computer
  • Step 2 - Launch AMP
  • Step 4 - Eventually everything will lock completely up and a hard shut down is required

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • Upgraded RAM to 64 GB
  • Added NVME 4 TB drive
  • Verified the computer is not overheating (running typically under 60 degrees Celsius)
