Problem Description

Hi,
We have been trying to update our Valheim server for several weeks now. It still stays as xyz-218.15 while client is 219-14.

Our AMP server is running 2.6.0.4 updated on 06.11.2024 eg today morning. Earlier 2.6.0.2 was updated few days ago. Ok we had issues first to update to 2.6.0.2 but after our linux server all libraries etc were updated to latest, AMP update went through.

I have tried to manually update valheim from instance management screen but nothing happens. What is currently latest version on “your” end? Or with other users?

Reproduction Steps

  • Update AMP from amp update menu
  • reboot whole server, just to be sure
  • Update Valheim from update button
  • Check console, console says v…218-15 which is old version

You are probably just updating AMP, not the Valheim server. You have to manage the instance, stop the server if it is running, and update it from the Status tab in the instance
