Problem Description
Issue
Even when set to release branch ‘Standard’, it installs a staging (experimental) server
What works to force release branch on a Windows machine for me is using SteamCMD like this:
steamcmd +force_install_dir C:\rustprod +login anonymous +app_update 258550 -beta validate +quit
Something similar probably works on Linux as well.
Reproduction Steps
- Create a new Rust instance
- Update it
- Start it
- Check the output of ‘version’ in the console
