Update Failure with Project Zomboid - update does not work due to login request

Problem Description

Issue

I am new to AMP and want to update my zomboid instance first time, but it does not work due to login problem to steam. My AMP runs on my ubuntu VM behind my own domain.

Reproduction Steps

  • shutdown the instance
  • click on update button
  • enter steam credentials (they are for sure correct)
  • click on login
  • popup is closing and open up again…

It shouldn’t be prompting at all. Try stopping the entire instance, not just the server, and then have another go

Worst case, if it still prompts, then enter anonymous for username and password

Thanks, i get it done. I had start the update with the update all button in the instance overview. For unknown reason that worked for me. Maybe the instance was shutdown completly like you mention.

Yes, updating the instance stops it
