Problem Description
Issue
Version stays at 1.0.2 and clients have version mismatch and cannot play. Steamcmd command also not available in Debian terminal as root/games/amp user so I can’t do it manually.
Reproduction Steps
- Stop instance
- update intance
- start instance
I see that you updated your instance but did you press “Update” inside your instance, either on the Status or Console pages? That is the game server update button.
Thanks for pointing that out, I had no idea that there was another update button. May I ask why there is an “update instance” button that does not trigger the update?
Because each game server runs inside its own instance. Even ADS (the instance (haha) that runs the main web panel/dashboard) is an instance. They run independently, the top level one just manages everything else.
So, in essence, you can update the AMP instance that manages your game server independently from other instances running other game servers.
