Problem Description

Issue

This is a very fresh windows 10 install, git and the important java’s are installed, system has 128gb ram and 20 cores. This is the error I get while attempting to update the instance:
Download / Update failed : The tools path ‘./Minecraft/spigotbuild’ contains an invalid character.
I spent an hour or two on forums to no avail, and I can’t think of any info that would help, if any more info is needed I can provide that as well though.

Reproduction Steps

  • Create new instance with update and start on
  • accept eula and stop the server after first run
  • go to config and change to spigot server, click update, error
  • Download / Update failed : The tools path ‘./Minecraft/spigotbuild’ contains an invalid character.

There might be something up with the Spigot installer.
I’d recommend using the Paper server type, as it runs the same plugins, but it’s much more performant.
If you really need Spigot, you can download and run buildtools on your PC and upload the Jar to AMP.

The spigot buildtools seemed to work fine when ran not through AMP, I will mark it as solved and hopefully its fixed sometime in the future. As I would much rather update through the gui instead of remoting in. Thanks for your help!
