Problem Description

Issue

wont install modpack on server? seems like the jar file is getting downloaded but it won’t load it? Keeps loading normal minecraft

Reproduction Steps

  • installed new mc server
  • installed mod
  • start server

If you’re talking about the FTB server type, you need to switch the server type to use the right modloader+version.

neoforge is there but autoselect doesn’t see it and not in dropdown?

That is the installer. NeoForge does not have a server Jar. So you tell AMP the NeoForge version and leave the Jar as Autoselect.

I tried that and I get this:

or ./Minecraft/NeoForge.jar is missing.

Did you set the server type to NeoForge, select the right NeoForge version, and press Download/Update as the guide said?

Says “Installing NeoForge…” completes the bar then does nothing.

That’s what it’s supposed to do, it doesn’t do anything after it’s done installing.
The previous screenshot also looks to use 21.1.66, so I would recommend double checking what version your client uses and make sure that lines up.
Double check that Java 21 is selected under Java and Memory, then if things still won’t start, stop/start the instance from the main panel.

It says its online now. Thanks!
Just messed with it a bit more and redownloaded 21.1.61 and it works, not 100% sure what changed.

Yeah for sure! Awesome to hear it’s running
