Problem Description

Issue

no matter what mod pack i chose I can not connect to the server that i setup. after going through the configurations on the server. I can see the server when i start up curseforge and run minecraft. after clicking on the server to join there is always an error message. The current error says “Root tag must be a named compound tag”

Reproduction Steps

  • create instance
  • configure minecraft instance
  • error message sayin internal exception

Did you select the right modloader (Server Type) and version that the modpack needs?
And are all of the mod .jar files in the mods folder?
