Problem Description

Issue

I tried to move an existing minecraft server into amp. I followed the CubeCoder tutorial and got the “incompatible, use 1.21” error message in the minecraft launcher. I tried to update the minecraft server jar, but I don’t think it worked. I tried to connect again in the launcher. It clearly sees that this server is now hosted by amp, but it won’t let me connect with the same error that says incompatible, use 1.21. I don’t know how to proceed.

Reproduction Steps

  • followed CubeCoders instructions to setup an existing minecraft server in amp
  • updated my minecraft launcher
  • tried to update the minecraft server file within amp
  • tried to connect to server in minecraft launcher

You can downgrade your Minecraft version in the Minecraft Launcher to 1.21, or you change the version in AMP to match the version of Minecraft you’re using. You can check the version Minecraft’s main menu, it’ll say in the bottom corner.

Thanks for the reply! I just managed to figure it out. I just tried setting up the instance from scratch, and it worked great!
