Update Failure with Minecraft - can't update minecraft spigot

Problem Description

Issue

i run my minecraft server on spigot, despite updating so that spigot 1.20.5 is present and there is a .jar for that version the server seems to be permanently stuck on 1.20.4 no matter how many times i attempt to update it.

Reproduction Steps

  • downloaded the latest version of spigot to the minecraft server
  • obtained spigot 1.20.5 .jar in file manager
  • set stream to open using spigot 1.20.5 and use the 1.20.5 .jar
  • updated server multiple times; still can’t seem to get it to work on 1.20.5

Make sure you have Java 21 selected under Java and Memory.
If that doesn’t work out, just wait until Paper has their 1.20.5 Jar released.

Alternatively you can run Spigot’s BuildTools on your PC and upload the Jar over SFTP. (refer to the Spigot docs for more info)
