/bin/bash failed with exit code 1

Reproduction Steps

  • Start server
  • Update server
  • Restart server

I’m having the same issue, and in the console/log https://pastebin.com/TYm3ZY3V it always stops at “Proton GE download failed from GitHub. Aborting”

Check the setting under Configuration->Updates->Runtime Configuration. Make sure it it empty under the release version.

Yup, it’s empty. Also tried manually putting in the most recent Proton release name (and then the one before that), but no luck.

In addition to doing an update, did you update the templates from the Instances summary screen (the button next to the stop instance)?

Yeah mine empty too, did have a fiddle with the release versions but nothing

EDIT: My server has actually just loaded fine now, so whatever was happening may have fixed itself
