Update Failure with Assetto Corsa - Steam Auth code cannot be entered

Problem Description

Issue

Tried to set up an Assetto Corsa instance and followed the steps prompted to me. Entered steam credentials and steam auth app recognized the log in. On the app accepted the login and then entered the code into the console. Nothing happened and it gets stuck in an “Updating Assetto Corsa” / “Running Update Tasks Update step 1/6” phase unless I compeletely stop the instance and try again which causes this issue to occur again.

Reproduction Steps

  • Create Assetto Corsa Instance
  • Try and update instance
  • Fill in steam username and password
  • Get prompted for Auth code in the console
  • Enter code and nothing occurs

What do the logs say? Right click the instance and select “View Logs”
