Update Failure with Arma Reforger - Instance won't connect to steam

Problem Description

Issue

Every time that I attempt to login to steam when updating my server mods via the console it won’t connect. I have tried with several steam accounts with varying levels of security to no avail.

I am completely unable to update my arma reforger server. I am able to do it with other instances with the same accounts (ARMA 3 etc)

Reproduction Steps

  • Enter Instance
  • Attempt to update
  • Update works without asking for Steam login with vanilla
  • Attempt to update again after adding mod list to updates
  • Steam login pop up shows and I enter details
  • After pressing Login, the box disappears for a moment and then returns with no progress on update or login process.
  • Rinse-Repeat

Don’t use the Steam workshop items setting with AR

AR handles mods itself. See the setting under Configuration>Arma Reforger. Must be in valid json format as specified

Thanks man,

I feel there should definitely be a disclaimer or extra instructions warning about that during instance creation or something.

A better solution would be for unused components of the steamcmd plugin to be capable of being disabled, so they don’t appear at all. But not possible atm
