Problem Description

I cannot use FTP.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open WinSCP
  • Type in the hostname and proper port (2223)
  • Type in my username and password for my server panel and then click “Login”
  • A window appears saying, “Access denied.”

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • Verified that I’m using the correct username and password and that the account has the proper permissions to access FTP
  • Checked if the panel is actually running (it is running)
  • Checked if the server is listening to port 2223 (it is listening to that port)
  • Made sure port 2223 is using the TCP protocol and is open in my router for the computer running AMP
  • Tried using ampinstmgr upgradeall and ampinstmgr --nocache upgradeall
  • I don’t use 2FA but I double checked to see if 2FA is disabled just in case

Additional Information:
I started having this problem about a week ago when I updated AMP to v2.5.0.8 and added another user to my panel so my friend could help me test some plugins for my CS2 server. Before this, I was able to use FTP system-wide using the main 2223 port, but now I can’t. I can, however, use FTP on my Minecraft and CS2 instances individually, but that requires that I open up additional ports on my network, and I don’t want to do that. I have since deleted my friend’s account on my panel because I no longer needed his help, but I also wanted to see if having additional users somehow disabled FTP access system-wide for security reasons. Sadly, I still cannot use FTP. Also, I understand that I have already created a topic for this issue, but I feel like I didn’t provide an accurate description of my issue or the steps I took to attempt to resolve it. My apologies.

I have attached some screenshots below to hopefully clarify my issue. I’m fairly new to all this server panel stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
