Product Name/Version: AMP Instance Manger V2.4.0.10
Problem Description: Upon seeing that one of my instances was failing to start (this happens often) I went to do the usual fix of reactivating the isntance. Upon attemping to reactivate the instance I am greeted with:
[Error] Couldn't reconfigure the instance: AMPs primary executable (AMP.exe) for this instance was blocked by Windows Defender or another anti-virus program. Try updating your virus definitions, or adding an exception to either C:\AMPDatastore\Instances\Ashlyn01 or the AMP instance manager itself.
-Usually reactivating fixes my instance not being able to start. Nothing on my computer has changed since the last time I have started it.
Steps to reproduce:
- Step 1: Instance is failing to start says “Unable to start instance”
- Step 2: Run command prompt as normal user and run the command
ampinstmgr reactivate
then type in the instance name / license key - Step 3: get error mentioned above.
Actions taken to resolve so far:
-Adding exceptions in Windows Defender and Firewall for the AMP Datastore folder and all of its subfolders and all amp executables.
-Restarting AMP / computer
-Making sure all AMP Instances are running the correct version.
-Tried running the reactivate
command with defender and firewall turned off
