Unable to load Generic Manifest valheim.kvp - missing required key

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS

Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Halimede”
v2.4.1.2, built 21/12/2022 17:54

Problem Description:

Hello. I’m trying to install a Valheim server but i can’t find the game in instance list.

‘’‘Unable to load Generic Manifest /home/amp/.ampdata/instances/ADS01/Plugins/ADSModule/DeploymentTemplates/CubeCoders-AMPTemplates/valheim.kvp - missing required key.’‘’

‘’‘Metrics server started OK on port 12820’‘’

‘’‘ADS startup complete in 143ms’‘’

‘’‘Updating remote source CubeCoders/AMPTemplates’‘’

‘’‘Updating existing remote source GitHub - CubeCoders/AMPTemplates: For the AMP community to share Generic Module templates.…’‘’

‘’‘error: object file .git/objects/1d/c856f968fe92173bc0dbfaee0576d86e7bf937 is empty’‘’

‘’‘fatal: loose object 1dc856f968fe92173bc0dbfaee0576d86e7bf937 (stored in .git/objects/1d/c856f968fe92173bc0dbfaee0576d86e7bf937) is corrupt’‘’

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  • Updated AMP to latest release.
  • ampinstmgr --nocache upgradeall
  • apt-get update && apt-get upgrade on my VM

Edit :
I’ve manage to find a way by erasing everything inside this folder /home/amp/.ampdata/instances/ADS01/Plugins/ADSModule/DeploymentTemplates/
And by downloading manually the files from github AmpTemplate folder

I’m not sure if this will resolve it, but try navigating to /home/amp/.ampdata/instances/ADS01/Plugins/ADSModule/DeploymentTemplates/and delete everything inside. Then restart ADS.

Just did it and now there is many more “template” that didn’t show up in the new instance button. but i didn’t have anymore a valheim.kvp missing required key

“”“Updating existing remote source GitHub - CubeCoders/AMPTemplates: For the AMP community to share Generic Module templates.…”“”

“”“error: object file .git/objects/1d/c856f968fe92173bc0dbfaee0576d86e7bf937 is empty”“”

I’m not 100% sure where that .git info is stored for AMP. And I’m heading to work a long day, so hopefully Mike or someone can assist. Otherwise, I will try tonight.

Sorry to give you an answers late, but anti-spam detector avoid me doing it right when i’ve found a solution.
I was able to make a workaround by manually downloading github content and place it in the good folder ~/ DeploymentTemplates…
Thanks for your help

Just as a warning, it won’t automatically update in the future still if that error doesn’t go away.
