Unable to create Java Instance

Problem Description: Hello, I’m just trying to create a Minecraft Java instance. After updating to 2.7.2, I have started getting an " Unable to complete” task error when trying to create an instance.

“Unable to complete task
This task could not be completed: Create instance - Minecraft - State: 3.
AMP configuration failed with return code -2146232797.”

Only with Java version, as I created a Bedrock instance just fine. I get the same line from the pop-up in the console.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step 1: Select Create Instance on the instances page
  • Step 2: select Java Edition (no settings matter for “Start instance on boot” or “after creation”)
  • Step 3: Select Create Instance

Actions taken to resolve so far: AMP reinstallation, turning off the firewall, reinstalling Java, and disabling real-time protection.

Commenting to say that I am also experiencing the exact same issue after updating AMP to 2.7.2, I’m running AMP within a Debian VM.

Similar to Tms92003, I can create other instances for Minecraft Bedrock and ASA for example, only Minecraft Java is failing for me.

"Unable to complete task

This task could not be completed: Create instance - Minecraft - State: 3.

AMP configuration failed with return code 255”
