Unable to connect to server via SFTP

OS Name/Version: Debian 12

Product Name/Version: AMP Release “Phobos”
v2.6.2.4, built 24/07/2025 10:06

Problem Description: when attempting to connect to the server via sftp, I connect to the server and am then prompted to input a password. However when inputting my password, it immediately says access denied.

(If you're sharing console output, logs, or commands you have run, please make sure to use code tags
(3x backticks for blocks, 1x backtick for a single line) to help make posts readable. This also
provides syntax highlighting.) I am not knowledgable enough to understand this, i am seriously sorry but I am a rookie at this stuff.

Steps to reproduce:

Install AMP on Debian 12
create a minecraft java installation on server
Attempt to connect to server on different device on LAN, access denied

Actions taken to resolve so far:
reset password
reinstall AMP
reinstall server
change server version
search forums for situation, some similar but old and outdated
asked chatgpt what the issue is

issue somewhat fixed; sftp into device then navigate to storage from there

Have you checked AMPs logs? Also are you using either 2FA or a OIDC login provider?
