Threads shouldn't be locked after 30 days of inactivity

There are countless times I’ve come across a similar problem (or the exact same problem) as another post which hadn’t received an answer in 30 days and was automatically locked.

This probably results in duplicate threads. Not to mention it’s frustrating. If you’re worried about people bumping their own threads, perhaps there’s a way to make it so it doesn’t allow one to reply to a post if they were the most recent poster in it?

The reason for the 30 day limit is that because AMP is updated moderately frequently, so any information present in a thread or any fixes or suggestions presented in them can become obsolete quite quickly. The goal is to make sure that the information that’s readily available is kept ‘Fresh’ and to prevent Gravedigging where people reply to posts or threads that are no longer relevant - but active discussions can remain ongoing.

It is already the case that users can’t respond to a post if they themselves were the most recent poster to prevent bumping.

Additionally, the goal is to encourage people creating their own threads with their system information in. Because sometimes problems present in similar ways but have completely different causes so knowing about the system running AMP by having people fill in the template in a new thread is important. “Me too” posts are to be avoided.
