The edit permission require download permission to work with

So i wanted my sub user to have the permission to edit the file without downloading the file because i can not risk letting my files get leak outside. I found out that if you wanted to edit a file you need download permission from file manager

Editing a file is just downloading it then uploading it. If they can edit a file they can just copy and paste its contents. So indeed you need download and upload permissions. It is impossible to let a user edit a file but not make a copy of it.

i have zip file and some others file that not require to edit, which can not be stolen and the value of the zip file or image file is huge. That is the reason why i report this problem

Then don’t store the zip file where anyone can access it then, or don’t give download permission to anyone you don’t trust.
