The console log for my Minecraft server doesn't let me look back more than a couple hours

Linux/Ubuntu 24.04.2
Product Name/Version: (Always use the full version number - not ‘Latest’)
Currently running version 2.6.1.6 - 20250417.2
Problem Description:
The old logs for my server will not show up. I am trying to look back to what happened yesterday and the console simply does not scroll up any further. Is there any way to keep the console from losing older log posts?


Steps to reproduce:

 * Step 1 Click Console.
 * Step 2 Scroll Up.
 * Step 3 Can only go back a couple hours before it stops.

Actions taken to resolve so far: Tried to look for any config that would affect this.

The setting for it is called “Console scrollback period” (the browser caches some of this in memory, so you wouldn’t want to set it too high).
Though you can also look in the logs/latest.log file using the file manager to see the full log

Thank you, I have the console scrollback period set to a high number. Just a bunch of 9s, and It still will not let me view old logs.

Yeah, as mentioned you don’t want to set that very high. Pretty sure it isn’t retro-active as well
