Task

I can’t login to my steam to download a Terraria server due to Family View

Problem Description

Issue

It doesn’t give me the prompt to enter my pin to exit the Family view option. I’m sure I could fix this by moving the game out of the Family View restriction, but that doesn’t really fix the problem in the long term and defeats the point of Family View.

Reproduction Steps

  • Hit the Update button to start Terraria Server
  • Login to Steam with username and password
  • Allow permission through the Steam guard mobile app
  • Failure (due to parental lock)

SteamCMD itself doesn’t support accounts with the family restrictions turned on. This isn’t an AMP issue, so indeed you will need to either disable the restrictions entirely or move that specific game out. This isn’t something we have any control over.
