Problem Description

Issue

i am trying to install and play stone block 3 with a friend but the server seems to not recognize the mods and says that they are missing despite me following the instruction on how to install it can you please help

the furthest ive gotten is to loading terrain which is cut off immediately and says

“internal exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: readerIndex(12) + Length (1) exceedswriterIndex(12): PooledUnsafeDirectByteBuf(ridx: 12, widx: 12, cap: 12)”

Reproduction Steps

  • tried to update the mods
  • updating server
  • rechecking and downloading client

Make sure the server has the right Forge version selected and the mods in the mods folder
If you used AMP’s FTB installer, do the following:

i had done that and i was getting the code, i then tried doing it via the FTB method and still got the same result

Your best bet then will be to read the log to figure out where things are going wrong

i tried doing that but couldnt make heads nor tails of what it was saying in terms of going wrong as it would see me attempt to join then immedialy disconect me after it displayed the message i mentioned at the top

That error doesn’t mean anything without any context tbh.
You may want to delete the world folder and let it regenerate.
You can also share the logs/latest.log with https://mclo.gs/
