Static IP/ DNS issues

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 24.04.4

Product Name/Version: 2.6.5.2 - 20260128.2 (Phobos)

Problem Description: DNS/ Static IP cannot be reached externally on an instance. Shows with java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable is the error within the MC server console. Players can connect to the server, but it cannot reach outside itself if you will.

Additional information below:
I can connect to anything I have within AMP. For example, my minecraft sever, palworld and terraria. I can reach it via my public IP address:8080 as well so clearly its getting out of my network. Internally it seems to not be reaching the outside world, its such an odd problem. Further information: Public IP with Frontier (fiber) and I have an eero pro 7 max with a eero pro 7 attached to it for ethernet backhaul.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Set static IP in Ubuntu under netplan
  • Restart netplan
  • Start Minecraft instance

Actions taken to resolve so far:

  1. Changed IP back to DHCP
  2. Changed IP back to static (to ensure it was working with ip a)
  3. Changed DNS servers within ubuntu itself to ensure connectivity
  4. Restarted server multiple times
  5. Restarted AMP instance multiple times
  6. Verified Realtek 1gb nic drivers are installed
