Startup Issue with Rust Dedicated Server - not starting

Problem Description

Issue

instance is unable to start i update that works fine then i click start and ram usage ramps up but server doesnt actually start. console doesnt react to commands. also unable to kill the instance i have to completely delete the instance

Reproduction Steps

  • create instance
  • update server
  • start server

Rust takes a really long time to start the first time. Can take an hour easily on slower systems. Leave it for a while and come back to it.

Is it normal that the console also doesnt give any update as to what is happening its just blank

It is - Rust doesn’t have a proper console so AMP can’t see what’s going on until its fully started.
