Problem Description
Issue
I created a fresh instance for build 42, updated it to the beta without starting to avoid conflicts with b41, and it keeps failing to start while causing the panel to crash/freeze as well. I tried validating the install and creating new instances multiple times but the same issue kept happening.
EDIT:
For future reference the issue was the instance using so much ram (more than it is allocated) it caused amp to crash which has never happened to me before with zomboid. The fix was limiting it to half the system memory.
Reproduction Steps
- create new instance
- update to build 42 without starting
- start instance
