Problem Description
Issue
updated amp to 2.6.4.2 - 20251210.2
palworld updated to v0.7.0.84578
palworld hangs on Starting Palworld… after seemingly normal startup
Reproduction Steps
- updated amp to 2.6.4.2 - 20251210.2
- updated palserver to 0.7.0.84578
- started palworld server but hangs at end of startup
Just noticed this line in startup, but I don’t know if it’s a normal error:
log available here.
Edit: “Solution” below (can’t reply to myself)
It turns out that the server was actually starting, but through AMP it looked like Palworld didn’t complete startup. After reboots, attempted updates, and more reboots there was no change, but I decided to try to attempt to connect to the server with the Palworld client. It connected normally and when I loaded the AMP interface again, the server was now shown as “running”. After a subsequent reboot of my VM, it always hangs on “Starting Palworld…” until the first client connects, then shows “Running”.
